Hello, I’m Jackie Bradbury, and I’m a geek.

I am a marketing geek, in the sense of "...a "geek" is anyone that knows a lot about a certain area that you don't." I cribbed that from here:  http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-geek.htm.

What a total geek, huh?

I enjoy reading white papers about cutting edge marketing technology and techniques and best practice.  I think it’s neat to talk about test plans and database segmentation and growth plans and new customer onboarding and retention strategy and social media tactics and debating QR codes vs. NFC and ideal customers and…

I got carried away there, sorry.  I tend to do that.

In prior lives, I've co-owned a small business, worked in a variety of roles in marketing for big corporations in retail and casinos (from entry level to director level), been a contractor, been a temp, been a stay-at-home parent, run political campaigns, worked in retail sales, and worked in sales support and administration.

I’m also very geeky about the martial arts – I study Modern Arnis full time at Hidden Sword Martial Arts and I also train on occasion at seminars and camps with Arnis International.

I geek out on sci-fi/fantasy literature, films and television, maps and geography (GeoGuessr is awesome), history, political philosophy, Celtic culture and art, and my beloved Kansas City Chiefs.

And finally, I’ll totally geek out on my awesome family, especially my incredible husband, and my brilliant (and extremely good-looking) two daughters.
